HISTORY OF PEDAGOGY AND EDUCATION
The article is devoted to the pedagogical heritage of St. Tikhon of Zadonsky (1724 – 1783). The achievements of the saint as an organizer of spiritual education, a teacher, and a preacher are analyzed. Those aspects of the pedagogical heritage of St. Tikhon of Zadonsky that are most relevant for today's sociocultural situation are highlighted: the broad educational and missionary orientation of his works, the priority of family education.
AСTUAL PROBLEMS OF CONTEMPORARY PEDAGOGY AND EDUCATION
The use of the system of oral exercises is one of the most important components of the pedagogical activity of a mathematics teacher, as it provides a solution to many methodological problems. The authors substantiate the need for oral counting in mathematics lessons in grades 10 – 11, consider various classifications of such tasks, and give examples. In the course of the study, a survey of mathematics teachers was conducted, the results of which confirm the hypotheses of the authors.
The article discusses the possibilities of managing the process of forming one of the types of meta-subject experience that is significant for the development of a student – experience in solving problem situations. This type of experience is important for the development of an individual’s creative potential. The author highlights those universal actions that are used to solve various problems and shows the possibility of using digital resources to optimize the search activities of schoolchildren using a dialogue training program.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
The article is devoted to the developing of socio-cultural competence of students majoring in Journalism from the standpoint of rendering special literature, their involvement in professional communication through a comparison of problems similar to Russia in the media sphere. The article examines various aspects of the issue, highlights the experience of Kazan Federal University in developing students' sociocultural competence in mastering “Foreign language in the professional sphere”. The main stages of organizational work on rendering articles including exercises, as well as discussion of the raised issues and conducting role-playing games are revealed. The authors present the features and types of role-playing games, and note their effectiveness in assessing new information obtained from the studied texts.
The article presents the experience of developing students' critical thinking in the process of mastering lean manufacturing technologies; it is shown that this technique opens up new opportunities in the formation of a worldview, spiritual and personal development, contributes to a more meaningful analysis of a huge amount of information in a modern situation of uncertainty. Examples of the use of foreign technologies of efficient production in order to develop critical thinking among students of pedagogical universities – future teachers of practical training, college teachers and teachers of technology schools are given.
The study is devoted to the study of the self-regulation abilities of first-year students of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in their educational activities in the context of formative assessment in physical training classes. The advantages of a high level of self-regulation skills by students are analyzed. The article considers the features of group educational activities of first-year cadets of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which determines the improvement of the quality of many special skills necessary in future operational and official activities. The importance of improving the skills of self-regulation of educational activities of first-year students of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is substantiated.
The article analyzes the functional components of communicative competence as an integrative characteristic of a person. The relevance of the work is due to the universal nature of communicative competence as a condition for professional and personal readiness in many areas of activity, including sound engineering. The author identifies the components and functions of sound engineers' communicative competence. Based on the developed functional components of communicative competence, it is possible to create a universal model for the formation of communicative competence.
The article examines the theoretical and methodological aspects of using cinema as a tool for teaching the history of modern Western countries at school. On the example of the films of Ch. Chaplin authors reveal their xpotential as a historical source in the study of the socio-cultural history of the United States in the first third of the 20th century. Methodological recommendations are given for the organization of an extracurricular event – a course of film evenings – on this issue.
The article deals with the actual problem of professional training of the head of the school theater. The development of the musical culture of a teacher acts as a system-forming factor of the competence of a teacher who organizes theatrical, playful, inherently artistic activities of children. The grounds for this position are, on the one hand, scientific data on the meaning and connections of music with the tasks of education, on the other – new trends in the role of music in the structure of modern theatrical performance.
The article attempts to identify and summarize the various advantages of using independent home reading when learning English. An analysis of the conclusions and generalizations of scientists dealing with the issue of introducing independent reading into educational activities in language education has been carried out. The criteria for working with students within the framework of introducing independent home reading are outlined. Various approaches of the authors to the interpretation of “home reading” are revealed. The main didactic conditions that are responsible for success in the development of students’ skills for independent educational activities have been identified. The author comes to the conclusion that as the leading developmental function of home reading, it is necessary to consider the formation of an independent aesthetic attitude towards the world around us, humanistic value orientations, and the development of students’ cognitive abilities in the process of getting acquainted with the best works of foreign literature.
SPECIAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY
The article focuses on the relevance of the study of moral attitudes among police officers. A hypothesis is put forward about the presence of features of moral attitudes and types of decision-making strategies among police officers with experience in extreme activities. The results of the study of moral attitudes are described, groups of police officers serving in regular mode and having experience in extreme activities are compared. The conclusion is made about the frequency of occurrence of certain moral guidelines among police officers with experience in extreme activities.
ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF PSYCHOLOGY
The article presents the results of a study of the characteristics of the internal organization of the experience of loneliness in early and middle age. The author's model of the experience of loneliness, based on the principles of the structural-functional approach, is presented. Based on the principles and categorical apparatus of the systems approach, loneliness is considered as a single system, the integrity of which is ensured by the fact that the experience of loneliness functions on the basis of the interaction of components such as cognitive, emotional, behavioral and motivational-volitional.
INNOVATIVE VECTORS OF MODERN EDUCATION
The article reveals the possibilities of using worksheets in literature lessons. Methodological recommendations are given for the compilation of worksheets for a cycle of lessons dedicated to N.V. Gogol's poem «Dead Souls». Special emphasis is placed on writing the poem into the context of world literature and culture, as well as on involving related disciplines to comprehend the writer's idea.
THE FLOOR TO YOUNG RESEARCHERS
This article analyzes the role and importance of choral activity of students in the formation of their personal orientations. The object of the study is the youth choir of the Kazan Cathedral, which includes students of humanities, technical, pedagogical higher educational institutions of the city of St. Petersburg. In the course of the research conducted by the author, it was revealed that the biographical method, the method of joint creative search and extensive concert and educational work are effective means of forming students' value orientations. On their basis, students develop such value orientations as: a positive worldview, love for one's neighbor, patriotic feelings, the ability to empathy, selflessness. The creation of youth amateur choirs at Orthodox churches has great potential in strengthening the moral foundations of modern society and the formation of students' value orientations.
SCIENTIFIC LIFE: CHRONICLES, COMMENTARIES, REVIEWS
Professor Elena Yurievna Rogacheva has been faithfully serving science for forty years, updating the pedagogical heritage of figures and thinkers of education of the late 19th – first half of the 20th century.
The article attempts to characterize E. Yu. Rogacheva as a well-known figure in pedagogy and the history of pedagogy at the international level, who studied, translated from foreign languages and introduced dozens and hundreds of archival and little-studied materials into scientific circulation, established contacts with many foreign authors. At the same time, it was important for us to attribute her name to the galaxy of scientists who participated in the radical restructuring of historical and pedagogical science at the turn of the XX – XXI centuries, and also to show that her role in this regard is completely underestimated in our science.
