Abstract

This article is devoted to the problem of teaching literary local lore at school and university. Literary local lore is an important component of philological education and involves an in-depth study of the literature of the native region in the context of national history, culture and literature. This aspect of literary education is currently of considerable interest in connection with various socio-economic, general cultural problems and needs the development of systematic textbooks and recommendations. The literature of the Vladimir Region has a rich history, which allows us to talk about its significant contribution to national culture.

Abstract

The article describes a study on the identification of the dependence of learning ability on the level of formation of basic mathematical skills and its impact on the adaptation of students in various fields of study. The purpose of the study is to show how the formation of basic skills is important for the successful adaptation of students to the educational process. The connection between poor proficiency in basic mathematical skills and the assimilation of the material of the natural science and humanities cycles has been revealed.

Abstract

The authors of the article address an urgent problem of evidence and argumentation in pedagogical research. This issue is insufficiently resolved in pedagogy and causes debates among scientists. The authors present a part of their practical experience in forming argumentation skills among students in Master’s programs. The article demonstrates the conditions that help young researchers acquire knowledge about the techniques of empirical and quasi-empirical argumentation as well as the features of their application in applied pedagogical research.

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of developing an important competence of the future linguist, i.e., written communicative competence. The author focuses on elaborating the ability to produce an essay taking into account the structural features of that kind of the written speech. The dependence of the essay strategy and style is considered in this article. The author suggests to use some definite rational methods in formulating the main idea of a creative paper; the ways of logical transition from the previous paragraph to the next one in the basic part of an essay.

Abstract

The individual teaching style plays an important role in a teacher’s career: it boosts efficacy and productivity in achieving goals, stimulates personal and professional growth, increases self-esteem and self-confidence. Vocational education ought to help students work out the most beneficial and successful teaching styles while they are in training. The authors present the methodology, developed according to the basic psychological principles of the theory of individual style, and aimed at shaping the initial individual teaching style of prospective teachers. The methodology can be used in the educational process at various teacher training institutions.

Abstract

Immaturity and isolation both lead to the appearance of deviant behavior and abusive use of psychotropic substances. The most effective measure to prevent drug addiction seems to be the development of educational approach in the youngsters’ environment and searching for upgraded and conceptual steps as for primary prevention. These measures should be linked to a student’s growing personal maturity as well as student’s capacity to find and update his necessary internal resources to resist any harmful, or antisocial habits.

Abstract

The paper discusses the preparation and conduct of a pair tour in foreign languages within the framework of the V Activity Olympiad of schoolchildren, as well as the prospects for conducting pair tours in the Activity Olympiads of schoolchildren. The characteristic of the principles underlying the tasks is given, the difficulties that arose in the process of preparing and conducting a pair tour in foreign languages are considered. In addition, the analysis of the results obtained is given and an attempt is made to assess the prospects for subsequent Activity Olympiads.

Abstract

The article solves an important pedagogical problem related to the education and upbringing of foreign students in the process of reading literary texts, in particular the novel by A.S. Pushkin «Eugene Onegin». The objectives of the work are: teaching students to realize the deep ideological position of the Russian author; revealing the phenomenon of Pushkin’s poetics, contributing to the aesthetic education of students. During the presentation of the material, lexical and grammatical exercises were presented that help not only the assimilation of a particular work, but also contribute to the formation of students’ speech skills in general. Understanding the complex artistic world of Pushkin, foreign listeners of Russian literature learn to understand the world and realize their own task in it.

Abstract

The article examines the stage of formation of the training system for pioneer counselors in the period 1922 – 1929 in the Vladimir province. The issue of raising a new generation of children, the future builders of socialism, required the leadership of the country and the party to prepare leaders of pioneer detachments ideologically oriented, but at the same time close to children. The process of training counselors was complicated by mass illiteracy and a shortage of personnel. Nevertheless, significant work was carried out that contributed to the development of the pioneer organization in the Vladimir province of the 1920s.

Abstract

Psychological health is assessed as a significant factor in healthy longevity. The preservation of psychological health in adults is one of the tasks of our time. Motivation is one of the factors of psychological health, it is associated with a number of personal structures, in particular with such a structure as personality traits. The article describes the characteristics of the influence of the traits of emotional intelligence and personality traits of the «Big Five» on the motivation for success and the motivation to avoid failure in an adult audience. The study involved 52 people aged 45 to 55 years, among them 13 men and 29 women. The methods of «TEIQue-SF» by K.V. Petrides were applied, in the adaptation under the guidance of A.A. Pankratova, the BFI-2 test, in the adaptation by S.A. Shchebetenko, the tests «Motivation to success» and «Motivation to avoid failure» by T. Ehlers. Statistical data processing showed the influence of personality traits on motivational attitudes in adults. So, emotional intelligence and extraversion negatively affect motivation to avoid failure, conscientiousness has a positive effect on motivation to succeed in adults. In the joint regression model, extraversion negates the importance of the influence of emotional intelligence on the motivation to avoid failures in adults and remains the only significant predictor.

Abstract

The article presents the historical evolution of pedagogical approaches to the formation of vocal and performing skills of future music teachers in Russian scientific and pedagogical research of the XIX – early XXI centuries. The study summarizes and analyzes the views that have developed in the process of formation of musical and pedagogical education on the process of formation of vocal and performing skills. According to the author of the article, the features of the formation of vocal and performing skills of future music teachers identified at different stages of the development of the music education system are inextricably linked with cultural processes and traditions of the existence of domestic vocal education in general and determine the direction of the modern process of formation of vocal and performing skills of future music teachers in music pedagogical universities.
