THE IMPACT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES APPLICATION IN THE MODERN UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT ON THE TEACHER'S ROLE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
Abstract
The article analyzes the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the transformation of the teacher's role in the modern university educational environment. The authors argurs that digitalization leads to a paradigm shift: the teacher ceases to be the primary source of information, evolving into a facilitator, mentor, and designer of educational trajectories. Based on a review of scientific literature, a framework of key digital skills for the 21st-century teacher is presented. A comparative analysis of Russian professional development courses reveals their practical focus but also highlights the need for greater personalization and integration of cutting-edge technologies like AI. The conclusion emphasizes that the success of the digital transformation in education depends on the teacher's ability to harmoniously combine technological tools with the development of emotional intelligence and interpersonal interactions.
