HIGHER INSTITUTIONS TEACHER TRAINING IN CHINA: FROM “CONSOLIDATING BASIC SKILLS” TO “COMPREHENSIVE IMPROVEMENT OF ABILITIES”

The paper deals with the problem of teacher training in contemporary China. The author characterizes four stages of the evolution of the system. The university-based training of different types is presented. Four modules –“theory-technology-practice-case” are analyzed.
