Seliverstova Elena Nikolaevna – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Pedagogy of Vladimir State University named after Alexander Grigoryevich and Nikolai Grigoryevich Stoletov (VlSU), Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences of Pedagogical Education (MANPO). The total experience of scientific and pedagogical activity of E.N. Seliverstova is about 46 years, including more than 49 years of teaching experience at VlSU. E.N. Seliverstova graduated with honors from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Lebedev-Polyansky Vladimir State Pedagogical Institute, worked as a mathematics teacher at school No. 23. Vladimir, a teacher of the Department of Pedagogy of the Vladimir State Pedagogical Institute, head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Vladimir Regional Institute for Teacher Improvement. From 1979 to 1982 about she studied at the full-time graduate school of the Institute of General Pedagogy of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR, where, under the scientific supervision of I.Ya. Lerner, she conducted an experimental study on teaching methods as technological elements of general didactic teaching methods and in 1982 successfully defended her PhD thesis on this topic. From 1992 to the present, E.N. Seliverstova has been the head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Vladimir State Pedagogical Institute, which in 2011 was affiliated to the Vladimir State University named after Alexander Grigoryevich and Nikolai Grigoryevich Stoletov (VlSU). As the head of the Department of Pedagogy, E.N. Seliverstova makes a significant contribution to the development of continuous pedagogical education in the region. She is the initiator and organizer of master's degree programs at VlSU in the field of Pedagogical Education, the organizer and chairman of the dissertation Council for the defense of doctoral and candidate dissertations in the specialty 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education at Vladimir State University for the Humanities (2008-2012), a member of the Council for Innovative Work in the Education system at the Department of Education Administration Vladimir Region, the initiator and organizer of the Interregional Pedagogical Readings traditionally held in Vladimir since 1997 and of constant interest to the pedagogical community, dedicated to the memory of I.Ya.Lerner, which became a platform for productive pedagogical discussions of Russian scientists, researchers and teachers-practitioners.

E.N. Seliverstova is a well–known scientist in the country, a follower of the traditions of the scientific school of I.Ya. Lerner, M.N. Skatkin, V.V. Kraevsky, the head and organizer of scientific research in the field of didactic problems, in particular, the theory and technology of innovative learning, an expert of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Since 1996, the scientific and practical laboratory of modern pedagogical technologies has been working productively at her department under her scientific supervision, combining the efforts of research teachers, teachers, teachers of higher and secondary educational institutions on the basis of the VlSU in order to study the dynamics and main trends in the development of modern pedagogical technologies, as well as their introduction into the modern educational process.N. Seliverstova is an active member of the Scientific Council on Didactics of the Department of Philosophy of Education and Theoretical Pedagogy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, carrying out scientific cooperation in the field of didactic research, organizing Russian and international conferences on the basis of the VlSU. Under her scientific guidance and with her scientific advice, 11 candidate's and 2 doctoral dissertations were defended. E.N. Seliverstova made a significant contribution to the development of the theory of modern didactic knowledge, conceptualizing scientific ideas about the developmental function of learning, creating theoretical and methodological foundations for improving the scientific status of the developmental function of learning as part of didactic knowledge. Thanks to her research in Russian didactics, a transition has been made from understanding the developmental function of learning as a phenomenon of pedagogical reality to highlighting it as an independent didactic object requiring inclusion in the structure of the conceptual and terminological apparatus of pedagogy.

E.N. Seliverstova created a structural model of the developmental function of learning; in relation to didactics, a pedagogical interpretation of psychological views on the relationship between learning and development was carried out The qualitative heterogeneity of the goals of intellectual development of schoolchildren in education is substantiated and described; it is proved that the principle of subjectivity serves as the basis for understanding the content of education as a basic didactic tool for implementing the developmental essence of learning, a set of didactic requirements for the formation of educational content providing the planned levels of intellectual development of schoolchildren is highlighted; approaches to comparative analysis of the measure of intellectual development of schoolchildren, which can be provided by various types of education (traditional education, problematic-developmental learning, personality-oriented learning).

E.N. Seliverstova has over 300 publications, is a scientific editor and co-editor of collections of scientific and scientific-practical works, the author and co-author of 8 monographs, 11 textbooks used in the practice of continuous pedagogical education. Among the significant publications of E.N. Seliverstova in her specialty are monographs: "From the school of knowledge to the school of creation" (2008), "Modern schooling: on the way to technological renewal" (2015, scientific ed. and co-author), "Scientific ideas about the developmental function of learning in Russian didactics of the second half of the twentieth century" (2021); textbooks: "Modern didactics: from the school of knowledge to the school of creation" (2009), "Didactics at the turn of the epochs (XX – XXI centuries): a course of lectures for the system of higher and postgraduate pedagogical education" (2010, co-authored with L.M. Perminova), "Pedagogical theories and systems" (2012, Vulture of the UMO on education in the field of teacher training, ed. and co-author), "Innovative processes in school education 2014, Gryph UMO on education in the field of teacher training, ed. and co-author), "Practical teacher training: theoretical and technological aspects" (2022, co-authored with Doroshenko S.I., Romanova L.A.); articles in the journal Pedagogy: "Developing learning function: conceptual design" (2003), "The developmental function of learning: a modern didactic view" (2006), "Subjectivity as a principle of systematization of modern didactic knowledge" (2013) and in other peer-reviewed Russian journals.
