Scientific and methodological journal "Bulletin of Vladimir State University named after Alexander Grigoryevich and Nikolai Grigoryevich Stoletov. The series: Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences" has a rich history. It has been published since 1995, being the legal successor of the VGGU Bulletin magazine. Series: Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences", which since 2010 has been included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences should be published.

In 2011, due to the accession of Vladimir State University for the Humanities (VGGU) to Vladimir State University named after Alexander Grigoryevich and Nikolai Grigoryevich Stoletov (VlSU), the journal changed its name, but retained its place in the main composition of the new List of Peer-reviewed scientific publications, which entered into force on December 1, 2015.

 

Today, the journal is a peer-reviewed scientific and methodological publication, which publishes authors from many regions of Russia, as well as from foreign countries. From 2010 to the present, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the journal is regularly included in the List of periodical scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences should be published. Since 2023, according to the results of the distribution of VAKOV publications by category, the magazine belongs to the K2 category.

Until 16.10.2022, the journal accepted for publication in the following scientific specialties: 13.00.01. – General pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education (pedagogical sciences) 13.00.02. – Theory and methodology of teaching and upbringing (by fields and levels of education) (pedagogical sciences) 13.00.08 – theory and methodology of vocational education (pedagogical sciences) 19.00.05 – Social psychology (psychological sciences) 19.00.13 – Developmental psychology, acmeology (psychological sciences)
