Abstract
Тhe article raises the question of the expediency of a systematic approach when using the point-rating method of assessing students' achievements. Based on the analysis of foreign and Russian experience in the use of the point-rating method, a model of the system for assessing the professional training of students is proposed, including both academic achievements and social activity.
