Diagnostics of the current state of an individual's information competence: development and use of a multifunctional diagnostic complex
Abstract
To study the current state of information competence of an individual, the author developed and tested in the educational process of departmental organizations a multifunctional diagnostic complex, which includes subjective (questionnaire and test) and relatively objective (competency-oriented task) methods. In order to substantiate the author's approaches to diagnosis and the validity of the results, the “mechanism” of its development and use at the ascertaining stage of experimental work is shown, quantitative and qualitative data are summarized and systematized, deficiencies in cadets' mastery of information competence are revealed, and ways of adjusting the special course materials for the formative stage are outlined.
